Why we love to make not-for-profit content.

NON-PROFIT WORK IS A WIN-WIN BUSINESS STRATEGY.

Every structure has a foundation. A place where things start, and to which all things build upon. At OOAK, we believe that setting a solid foundation to reference as we continue to grow, keeps us in touch with why we began this journey in the first place: because we wanted to stand out and do something bold. Not for vanity, but because we believe the world is full of unique stories, waiting to be told. And we are great at telling them.

We have been proudly creating video content for not-for-profit organizations over the past 10 years.

Our oldest relationship for these storytelling productions is The United Way. It started by volunteering for our local United Way, and it has grown to several years of The United Way of Chatham-Kent trusting us to produce content for their campaigns. Here are 2 of our favourites.

Producing video content for community organizations can be a powerful art form. Complex messages and emotions can be shared in a short time with the right sound and visuals. When an organization is looking to raise awareness, it is a great time to be bold and do something memorable.

Here is an example of a community organization not shying away from telling a difficult story: Chatham-Kent Victim Services.

In a time where businesses hope to capture attention for 5-15 seconds in an advertisement, they could instead capture that attention for 3-5 minutes in a community story. When businesses partner with charitable organizations to declare their commitment of support, their existing network is mobilized to become influencers, encouraging others to join and watch.

Here is an example of a campaign where Ronald McDonald House, and local businesses have come together to tell impactful stories.

Making this content, telling these stories, it just feels good. Knowing that our video productions can actually increase the fundraising success of a community organization is so fulfilling. Here are 2 of the most powerful and successful not-for-profit stories we have produced, from the standpoint of the impact to the fundraising goal. The before, and then the follow up to the May 16 Miracle of 2020.

We have worked with some iconic brands, and we continue to take on new and exciting challenges.

No matter where that leads, we will always make time to work with not-for-profit organizations, as well as to help connect them to brands that share common goals and values. It makes us better, it makes the community better, and it keeps us in touch with what we are most passionate about.

If you are a business looking for a One of a Kind opportunity to make an impact, contact OOAK. We’ll work with you to craft the story that will be a Win-Win for your organization, and your community.
